The Kansas City Gymnastics School provides working parents the opportunity to have their child’s day enriched with quality gymnastics instruction through their Daycare of Private School program. We work closely with each school to design a program that meets the needs of the school, the parents, and the children. With these specialized programs we help to meet the needs of parents and their busy schedules.
The staff at the Kansas City Gymnastics school is concerned about children’s physical, mental, and social development. We believe that young children can enhance skills in these areas through positive reinforcement and learning in a fun, safe, environment. It is our goal to provide children with a progressive program that creates a positive attitude toward physical activity and provides basic physical building blocks that can be used in all sports, onto which further gymnastics skills can be taught.
Each class meets once a week and it is limited to ten children per instructor. Emphasis is placed on movement education and we begin teaching progressive gymnastic skills.
Psychological benefits – We provide physical development in these areas:
- Loco motor skills – hopping, jumping, skipping
- Gymnastics skills – rolling, balancing, leaping, hanging, and inverted awareness
- Hand – eye coordination – throwing and catching using balls, bean bags, and hoops
- Children benefit from increased strength, agility , and spatial awareness
Social Awareness – By participating in group activities, children are taught to cooperate with classmates in a positive and productive manner.
Instructors – Our instructors are high quality and energetic, and all have been trained to work with this age group. Most of our instructors have had personal gymnastics experience.
Our entire program puts safety first and puts an emphasis on listening to directions and following gym rules.
